Job Overview

Specialty Medical Staffing has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Interim Clinical Pharmacy Manager at an acute care hospital in Asheboro, NC. This position is ideal for a clinically focused pharmacist with strong leadership skills and experience supporting inpatient clinical pharmacy services.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support clinical pharmacy services within the hospital.

• Provide clinical leadership and guidance to pharmacy staff.

• Support antimicrobial stewardship and infectious disease-related pharmacy initiatives.

• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy.

• Participate in clinical program development, staff education, and quality improvement.

• Support regulatory compliance and Joint Commission survey readiness.

• Provide approximately 25% direct inpatient pharmacist staffing coverage.

• Assist with pharmacy operations and workflow as needed.

Requirements

• Active North Carolina pharmacist license required.

• PharmD or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.

• Strong inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.

• Previous clinical pharmacy leadership or management experience preferred.

• Infectious disease and antimicrobial stewardship experience strongly preferred.

• Experience with Meditech and Pyxis preferred.

• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.

Additional Information

• Primarily weekday daytime hours.

• Approximately 25% of the role involves direct pharmacist staffing.

• Weekend staffing is not routinely required.

• Temporary assignment with the potential for extension depending on facility needs.
