Interim Director of Pharmacy – Behavioral Health

Location: San Antonio, TX
Job Type: Temporary Contract
Dates: November 9–16, 2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM

Specialty Medical Staffing is seeking a Director of Pharmacy for a behavioral health contract in San Antonio, TX. This opportunity offers competitive compensation, a defined coverage schedule, and the chance to work in an established inpatient setting. Onsite training is available.

Requirements

• Active Texas Pharmacist license required

• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred

• Omnicell experience preferred; training available

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Ability to fulfill after-hours and weekend on-call responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders

• Support inpatient pharmacy operations and medication distribution

• Utilize HCS and Omnicell systems (training provided)

• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure safe medication management

• Maintain regulatory compliance and pharmacy standards
