Pharmacy Technician – LTACH – 13 Weeks
Pharmacy Technician – LTACH / Inpatient Hospital – 13 Week Contract
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Specialty Medical Staffing is currently seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week contract opportunity with a specialty inpatient hospital in the Pittsburgh, PA area. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule and the opportunity to support an experienced inpatient pharmacy team caring for medically complex patients.
We are seeking a pharmacy technician with hospital experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to support daily pharmacy operations in a fast-paced inpatient setting.
Assignment Details
- Start: ASAP
- Duration: 13 Weeks
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Hours: 8-Hour Day Shifts, 40 Hours Per Week
Requirements
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician registration/certification in good standing
- Recent hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- EPIC experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative inpatient environment
Responsibilities
- Prepare, package, and distribute medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Assist with medication order processing and inventory management
- Support medication reconciliation and daily pharmacy workflow
- Maintain accurate medication records and documentation
- Deliver medications to patient care areas and replenish automated dispensing cabinets as needed
- Assist with sterile and non-sterile medication preparation as appropriate
- Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations and hospital policies
- Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support safe and effective patient care
