Job Overview
Specialty Medical Staffing has an exciting opportunity for a PRN Pharmacist to provide coverage at an inpatient behavioral health facility in Dothan, AL. This position supports pediatric and adolescent psychiatric patients and is ideal for an Alabama-licensed pharmacist seeking flexible PRN opportunities.
Schedule & Coverage Dates
November 2026: November 23, 24, 25
December 2026: December 21, 22, 23, 24, 28
Hours: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

No weekends or on-call coverage

1–3 days of training prior to the assignment

Local candidates preferred; travel expenses may be considered
Responsibilities

Review and verify medication orders for accuracy
-
Communicate with nursing staff regarding medication changes or prescriber clarification

Restock and maintain automated medication dispensing systems
-
Coordinate medication ordering needs with the Director of Pharmacy
-
Ensure safe and accurate pharmacy operations
Qualifications
-
Active Alabama Pharmacist license required

Inpatient or behavioral health experience preferred

Strong medication safety and communication skills

Ability to work independently with remote pharmacy support

Willingness to complete facility-specific onboarding requirements
