Inpatient Pharmacist – Hospital Float Contract

Pay Rate: $68-76/hr

Specialty Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Inpatient Pharmacist for a full-time hospital float contract opportunity in the Gary, IN area.

This position involves working alongside an established pharmacy team in an inpatient setting, including neuroscience and oncology services, with coverage across two affiliated hospital locations based on staffing needs. Candidates must be comfortable floating between facilities.

Requirements

• Active Indiana Pharmacist license required

• Recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required

• Willingness to float between two affiliated hospital locations required

• Sterile compounding experience

• EPIC experience preferred

• Familiarity with Omnicell and Perata preferred

• Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to different pharmacy workflows

Responsibilities

• Review and verify inpatient medication orders

• Prepare and oversee sterile compounded medications

• Provide pharmacy coverage at affiliated hospital locations as assigned

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and pharmacy staff

• Support safe medication distribution and daily inpatient pharmacy operations

• Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory compliance
