Interim Director of Pharmacy – Community Acute Care Hospital

Location: Lebanon, IN

Specialty Medical Staffing is currently seeking an Interim Director of Pharmacy for a well-established community acute care hospital in the Lebanon, IN area. This is an immediate leadership opportunity for an experienced hospital pharmacist to oversee pharmacy operations while supporting a collaborative inpatient pharmacy team.

This hospital offers a broad range of acute care services, including oncology, surgical services, emergency care, and inpatient medical services. The Director of Pharmacy will provide operational leadership while remaining engaged in day-to-day pharmacy activities as needed.

Assignment Details

Start: ASAP (By July 13, 2026)
Duration: Ongoing
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 8:00am–5:00pm
On-Call: Occasional weekday on-call coverage may be required

Requirements

• Active Indiana Pharmacist License in good standing
• Previous pharmacy management or Director of Pharmacy experience required
• Recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required
• Sterile compounding experience required
• Meditech experience preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for the inpatient pharmacy department
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and daily pharmacy operations
• Review and verify medication orders while assisting with clinical staffing as needed
• Support sterile compounding services and ensure compliance with USP and regulatory standards
• Participate in hospital committees and interdisciplinary meetings
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and hospital leadership to optimize medication management and patient care
• Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations, accreditation standards, and departmental policies
