Interim Director of Pharmacy – Behavioral Health

Start: May 25th
Duration: 3 weeks (potential for extension)
Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm plus on-call after shifts
Weekend: Possible on-call coverage

Specialty Medical Staffing is currently seeking a Director of Pharmacy for an interim assignment at a behavioral health hospital in the Peoria, IL area. This is a unique opportunity to take on a hands-on leadership role supporting pharmacy operations within a behavioral health setting.

Requirements

• Active Illinois Pharmacist License in good standing
• Inpatient hospital experience preferred
• Experience with HCS preferred
• Experience with Omnicell preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmacy leadership while functioning as a working DOP
• Approve medication orders and support daily pharmacy operations
• Assist with Omnicell setup and inventory stocking
• Participate in P&T meetings and pharmacy workflow development
• Support overall pharmacy implementation and operational readiness

• Behavioral health facility setting
• No sterile compounding required
• HCS and Omnicell training provided
• Local candidates preferred, though travel candidates may be considered

• Drug screen
• HIPAA training
• TB test
• Code of Conduct attestation
• Additional onboarding requirements may apply
