Interim Director of Pharmacy - Independence, MO 

Specialty Medical Staffing is currently seeking a Director of Pharmacy for an interim assignment at a behavioral health hospital in the Independent, Missouri area. 

Assignment Details

• Start: June 1
• Duration: Ongoing until permanent hire
• Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm plus on-call
• Weekend: On-call only

Requirements

• Active Missouri Pharmacist License in good standing
• Inpatient hospital experience required
• Behavioral health experience preferred
• Leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Pharmacy leadership and oversight
• Supporting hospital startup and pharmacy setup
• Medication ordering and coordination with nursing staff
• Omnicell stocking and automation support
• Policy and procedure development
• General pharmacy operations

Additional Information

• Hospital environment
• Order entry system: HCS or Cerner (preferred)
• Automation: Omnicell (preferred)
• Flexibility required in a developing environment
• Ongoing communication via weekly calls and updates

Credentialing Requirements

• Background check
• Drug screen
• HIPAA training
• Code of Conduct attestation
• Additional site onboarding requirements expected
