Job Title: PRN Staff Pharmacist – Behavioral Health Hospital
Location: Winston-Salem, North Carolina

Specialty Medical Staffing is currently hiring a PRN Staff Pharmacist for a behavioral health hospital in the Winston-Salem, NC area. This opportunity is ideal for pharmacists with inpatient hospital experience who are comfortable working in a collaborative behavioral health environment.

Assignment Details

• Training: 5 training days in early May (between May 5–8 and May 11–15)

• Weekday Schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

• Weekend Coverage Schedule: 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM

• Current Coverage Dates:

  • May 16–17 | 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM

  • May 30–31 | 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM

• Additional PRN dates in June and beyond TBD

Pharmacy Systems

• Order Entry System: HCS (training available)

• Automation: Omnicell (Pyxis experience also acceptable)

Key Responsibilities

• Order and product verification

• Utilize Omnicell for medication distribution

• Collaborate with nursing staff and providers

• Support antimicrobial stewardship initiatives

• Work closely with the Director of Pharmacy and pharmacy team to support patient care

Requirements

• Active North Carolina Pharmacist License in good standing

• Inpatient hospital experience required

• Omnicell or Pyxis experience preferred

• Behavioral health experience preferred
