Job Title: Staff Pharmacist
Location: Lake Charles, Louisiana
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Assignment Length: Early May – Mid-August

Specialty Medical Staffing is currently hiring a Staff Pharmacist for a specialty pharmacy assignment in the Lake Charles, LA area. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist with specialty or retail experience who is looking for a weekday schedule with no weekends or on-call responsibilities.

This pharmacist will support the existing pharmacy team and assist with standard dispensing and clinical responsibilities in a specialty pharmacy environment.

Assignment Details

• Start: Early May 

• End: Mid-August

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• Pharmacy System: Epic Willow Ambulatory

Responsibilities

• Perform standard staff pharmacist duties including prescription verification and dispensing oversight

• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and safety protocols

• Provide drug information and patient counseling when needed

• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to maintain efficient workflow

• Support the existing staff pharmacist with daily pharmacy operations

Requirements

• Active Louisiana Pharmacist License in good standing

• Specialty pharmacy or retail pharmacy experience preferred

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a collaborative environment
