Interim Director of Pharmacy (PIC) - Winston-Salem, NC

Specialty Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Interim Director of Pharmacy / PIC for inpatient coverage at a behavioral health hospital in Winston-Salem, NC. This is a leadership-focused interim assignment supporting ongoing pharmacy operations.

Start: February 25 
Duration: Through May 29 (potential for extension)
Schedule:

• Monday–Friday: 7:30am–4:00pm

• Occasional weekend coverage (weekday off provided)

Setting: Inpatient Behavioral Health Hospital
Systems: HCS Web (training provided), Omnicell (preferred; Pyxis acceptable)

Responsibilities include:

• Staff pharmacist coverage 2–3 days/week

• Order and product verification

• Omnicell oversight and troubleshooting

• Controlled substance compliance and audits

• Antimicrobial stewardship

• Oversight of pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina Pharmacist license

• Must serve as PIC

• Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required

• 2+ years pharmacy management experience

• Ability to complete site onboarding requirements

Onsite training with outgoing Director provided.
