Specialty Medical Staffing, Inc. is looking to hire Night Shift Registered Nurse (RN) RN Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) for full-time travel contract opportunities in Tucson, AZ. Our ideal candidates will have 1.5+ years of previous bedside experience, preferably in the Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting andstrong focus in patient care. $1421 weekly stipend and M&I
$23/hr plus OT after 40 hours

$56.50/hr

Licensure Credentials Required:
Registered Nurse (RN)
1.5+ years’ experience
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Valid Registered Nursing License in TN or Compact Licensure
BLS (Basic Life Support) American Heart Association approved for all units
ACLS
Responsibilities: Follows all hospital guidelines outlining standards of personal appearance, attendance and punctuality. Based on the Competency Program established for direct care providers, possesses the skills and competencies necessary to perform job function in accordance with population served criteria.
JOB-SPECIFIC DUTIES/COMPETENCIES
Long Term Acute Care RNs (LTAC RNs) provide quality patient care during the patient assessment, intervention, and evaluation process. LTAC RNs collaborate with all members of a patient\'s healthcare team to formulate a care plan that ensures optimum outcomes and continuity of care. LTAC RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Performs a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
LTAC RNs are responsible for dispensing medications, chest tubes, ventilators, wound vacs, critical care IV Drips, feeding tubes, and central lines as needed.
Provides patient information and status in a timely manner.
Participates in the patient rehabilitation program on an assigned unit.
Initiates discharge planning on all patients from the day of admission. Initiates patient teaching in anticipation of the discharge date.
Communicates all pertinent information regarding changes in patient’s status from one care provider to another, to support continuity of care and patient safety.
Provides for and assures personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital and nursing policies and procedures.
Positively contributes to the functioning of the unit by providing calm direction and reassurance to ancillary staff, other departments, patients and families.
