Surgical Technician (Surg Tech) - Permanent Role - 

Specialty Medical Staffing has an exciting new direct hire opportunity for a Surgical Technician (Surg Tech) in Ft. Pay Range: $52,000-$60,320 – Comp based on experience
Start Date: ASAP
ASC Hours: M-F 6:30a-5p. Shift hours vary from 6:30a-4p
Schedule: Monday to Friday 37.5 hrs weekly, no nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call
Special Requirements: Must be able to work variable hours and be flexible to meet the needs of the centers daily surgery schedule.

Job Description
The Scrub Technician or the Certified Scrub Technician is a member of the surgical team who works with surgeons, anesthesia personnel, RNs, and other surgical personnel in delivering patient care and assuming appropriate responsibilities before, during and after surgery procedures.

Competencies:
1.Demonstrates knowledge of surgical procedures.
2.Demonstrates knowledge of equipment and their use in the surgery environment
3. Demonstrates knowledge of a scrub technicians duties.
4.Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his or her responsibilities related to general safety, center/service safety, and specific jobrelated hazards.
5. Follows the center exposure control plans/blood borne and airborne pathogens.
6.Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.
7.Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a center/unit team inter- and intra-center to facilitate the centers/units ability to meet its goals and objectives.
8.Maintains accurate documentation.
9.Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements
Minimum Education/Experience: One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Licenses/Certifications: BLS (AHA) CPR certification required.
