Travel Certified Surgical Tech (CST) - Possible Contract to Perm Hire Role

Specialty Medical Staffing has an exciting new direct hire opportunity for a Certified Surgical Tech (CST) in Colmar Manor, MD!  If you are a highly competent Certified Surgical Tech (CST) looking for something more than what you have seen in the past, we would love to connect with you. We are currently interested in candidates for a contract to permanent role.

Salary Range: Local Candidates: $36 hourly
Travel (50+ miles): $15/hr plus $1000 weekly housing and M&I = $1600 weekly gross  
Hours: 5x8-hour shifts - 40 hours weekly - No nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call
Physical Setting: Outpatient facility
EMR: Nextgen

Experience, Education, Certifications and Requirements:
1.High School Diploma (required)
2. Associates Degree from college accredited by Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP)
3. 1 year assisting in operating room (preferred)
4. Basic Life Support (BLS) (required)
5. NCCT or AST certification or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) (preferred)

Job Overview:
1.    Assist clinical team with patient and procedure room preparation and post-procedure clean-up, operating the C-Arm where applicable, scrub-in for procedures, clean and sterilize tools and equipment
2.    Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies
3.    Maintain a clean and safe working environment and may serve as the Safety Officer within the Center
4.    Assist in scheduling patients for vascular access procedures and provide assistance in transporting patients within the center
5.    Participate in community education activities regarding access center
