Specialty Medical Staffing has an exciting new direct hire opportunity for a (preferably Certified) Surgical Scrub Tech in Ft. Myers, FL!  If you are a highly competent Certified Surgical Tech (CST) looking for something more than what you have seen in the past, we would love to connect with you. Salary Range: $52,000 - $60,320
Hours: 6:30a -5pm operating hours- No nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call
Physical Setting: Outpatient facility

Schedule: 37.5 hours/weekMonday to Friday, no nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call
# of OR Suites: 4 (focusing on orthopedics and spine)
Surgeries per month:10-25 daily, 200-300 per month

  • Hand, Wrist, & Elbow Surgery

  • Joint Replacement/Reconstruction

  • Pain Management & Spine Care

Ability to commute/relocate:Fort Myers, FL 33912: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Job Description
The Scrub Technician or the Certified Scrub Technician is a member of the surgical team who works with surgeons, anesthesia personnel, RNs, and other surgical personnel in delivering patient care and assuming appropriate responsibilities before, during and after surgery procedures.

Job Requirements
Minimum Education/Experience:
 One year certificate from college or technical school; minimum two years Ortho experience required
Required Licenses/Certifications: BLS (AHA) CPR certification required.

Special Requirements: Must be able to work variable hours and be flexible to meet the needs of the centers daily surgery schedule.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, patients, and the general public.
Physical Requirements: The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is required to lift patients, assist a patient that is falling, and carry heavy medical equipment.
