Specialty Medical Staffing has an exciting new direct hire opportunity for a Radiology Technician (Rad Tech) in Ft. Pay Range: $58240 - $62400
Title: Rad Tech
Start Date: ASAP
ASC Hours: M-F 6:30a-5p. Shift hours vary from 6:30a-4p
Schedule: Monday to Friday, no nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call
Location: Ft. Myers, FL 33912
# of OR Suites:4 (focusing on orthopedics and spine)
Surgeries per month:10-25 daily, 200-300 per month
Facility Selling Points: Very experienced staff. Moving into a brand-new center/facility in February 2024
Center Culture: Very high employee satisfaction, surgeons are kind and a pleasure to work with, all staff takes great pride in patient care
Interview Process: Initial telephone interview. Second interview; video or onsite interview with the Facility Administrator and DON
Job Type: Full-time

Qualifications:
- Graduated from an accredited school of Radiology.
- Active license in good standing.
- One year experience or its equivalent.
- Be willing to cross-train in other areas as needed.

Essential Competencies:
- Demonstrates competence in x-ray technologist skills.
- Demonstrates proficiency in technical skill relevant to area.
- Demonstrates competence of sterilization practices.
- Demonstrates proficient use of equipment.
- Demonstrates proficiency in procedure preparation.
- Maintains established safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Reports infractions to supervisor.

- Respects patients/introduces self to patient.
- Examines radiologic film for density and contract, definition, magnification, and distortion.
- Effectively communicates center, organizational, and industrial information to staff.
- Attains all agreed to goals and objectives within specified time frames, as part of the organizations overall mission.
- Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his or her responsibilities related to general safety, center/service safety, and specific job related hazards.
- Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.
- Follows the center exposure control plans/bloodborne and airborne pathogens.
- Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as the leader of the center team inter- and intracenter to facilitate the centers ability to meet its goals and objectives.
- Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
