Specialty Medical Staffing has an exciting new direct hire opportunity for a Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) in Ft. Pay Range: $79,040 - $87360 – Comp based on experience
Title: Operating Room RN (Direct Hire)
Start Date:
ASAP
ASC Hours: M-F 6:30a-5p.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, no nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call
Location: Ft. Myers, FL 33912
# of OR Suites: 4 (focusing on orthopedics and spine)
Surgeries per month:10-25 daily, 200-300 per month
Facility Selling Points: Very experienced staff. Just relocated to a brand new center/facility

Interview Process: Initial telephone interview. Second interview; video or onsite interview with the Facility Administrator and DON

Experience Needed: Prior OR Nursing experience (2 year minimum)

Ability to commute/relocate:
Fort Myers, FL 33912: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Position Summary:
- Provide nursing care in the assigned clinical operative areas of the surgery center.
- Ensures patient needs are met in accordance with instructions of physician and facility administrative procedures.
- Participates in various quality improvement initiatives as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
- The Operating Room nurse must set priorities in planning cases, and making clinical decisions. They are a resource for complex decision-making and establishing an individualized plan of care for the peri-operative patient.


Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Maintains surgical services as assigned, in accordance with written policies and in compliance with various regulatory and accrediting agencies and is responsible for quality patient care.
- Assists with the development and monitoring of the standards of assigned areas pertaining to the operating room, sterilization and decontamination, and corresponding ancillary areas.
- Responsible for efficient and effective patient care and quality improvement.
- Helps in determining goals for assigned area and effectively manages resources to achieve the goals.
- Maintains a collegial relationship with physicians to ensure quality patient care.
- Assists with staffing of assigned area and performing daily operational processes.
- Adheres to Surgery Center policies, procedures, and safety programs.
- Participates in Quality Improvement Committee(s), and other Committees, as assigned.
- Proactively seeks to continuously improve patient care and operations.
- Exhibits competency in performing all functions of assigned area or duties.
- Responsible for other functions as assigned by the Director of Nursing


Qualifications:
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing with an Associate's degree or higher.
Current licensure in the State as a Registered Nurse
- Must be current in BCLS
- ACLS certification
- Prior OR Nursing experience (2 year minimum)
- ASC Experience preferred
