Medical Assistant -  Referral Services Technician
 
Specialty Medical Staffing is currently hiring for a temporary Medical Assistant in the Tacoma, WA area for up to 4 months within a unique position that will expand your skills and give your career a new meaning!   If you are a highly competent Medical Assistant looking for something more than what you have seen in the past, we would like to speak with you.

Position Details: 

• Day Shift, Monday to Friday, 
• Process patient referrals & verify and explain patient eligibility and financial responsibility for medical benefits.
• Work closely with Patient Accounts, to process all “pending” referrals weekly, using Next Gen
  reports, by identifying and updating referrals that are eligible for alternate coverage or
  completion by CDR.
• Resolve all billing issues to ensure proper adjudication of referrals for accurate
  claims payment

Requirements:

• Active WA Medical Assistant License
• Active BLS 
• Knowledge and ability to adhere to HIPAA 

 
We are currently offering:

• $25-$30/hr DOE
• Full Medical Benefits & 401K for FT employees
• Weekly pay with direct deposit
• Full support network
