Hospital Pharmacy Technician

Location: Mount Vernon, Washington, US

Overview: We are seeking two experienced and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technicians for a full-time role in a well-established hospital in Mount Vernon, Washington. The ideal candidates will have at least one year of hospital experience and must be committed to delivering the highest quality patient-focused care.

Length: 13 weeks

Shift Information: Variable start – Most likely going to be on evening 12:30pm-9:00pm or 2:30pm-11:00pm. Must be open to working on the weekend.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records related to all medication activity including purchasing, inventory, preparation, distribution, and administration.
  • Accurately prepare and dispense medications, including Sterile Products and Hazardous Drugs, ensuring safety for patients.
  • Perform routine inspections of medication areas, ensuring all medications are appropriate for patient use.
  • Deliver and restock medications and related supplies to appropriate patient care area in a timely manner.
  • Maintain operational knowledge to accurately refill and manage Automated Dispensing Devices
Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of hospital experience.
  • Must possess an active Pharmacy Technician license.
  • Experience in maintaining accurate medical documentation.
  • Ability to work under the supervision of a Pharmacist.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a professional, positive attitude.
